Mapa Pandiga is a secondary character in the animated series. He is an old wise Himalayan black bear and one of the great friends Leo and Tig.

Mapa Pandiga is a big Himalayan bear. His coat is thick, dark blue with occasional gray stripes and his eyebrows are white thick. There are bizarre patterns inside the Pandiga's ears.

- The Himalayan black bear Mapa Pandiga is sage, guru, teacher, mentor. He is calm, level-headed and kind. He knows a lot of legends, which he is glad to tell Leo, Tig and their friends.
Appearances[]
Appears in nearly all the episodes. He mainly serves as a sage and thinker as he tells different stories and myths. At the end of each episode, he usually declares the moral of their plot.

Appears at the beginning of the episode (closer to the middle). He tells his young friends, Leo and Tig, an ancient legend about the cowardly tiger, who got himself the skin of the sun, overcoming his own fear, and became the bravest animal in the Taiga.
Later, he appears at the very end of the series in the form of the sun and concludes it with a moral: In order to get the skin of the sun (that is, to become brave), you need to "find your own way"».

- Его имя имеет происхождение из языков народов Приморья. Так, первым словом («мапа») нанайцы называют медведя (а с киргизского языка это слово переводится как «добрый»). А вторая часть — «Пандига» — просто имя с удэгейским уклоном (т.к. большинство удэгейских имён оканчиваются на «дига»).
